Sign up for IU-Notify for emergency and weather alerts, campus closure information
Nov. 15, 2012
Winter is approaching -- are you signed up to receive IU-Notify alerts?
In the event of severe weather, IU Emergency Management and Continuity personnel will use the service to send warnings to service subscribers by phone, email and text messages. Emergency and safety information will also be communicated through the use of sirens, public address, Web pages, building stewards, residence hall assistants and broadcast and electronic media.
IU faculty, staff and students also are strongly encouraged to visit IU-Notify to review, verify, update and add contact information to ensure they receive IU-Notify messages in the event of an emergency.
Log in to OneStart to confirm that contact information submitted previously is still correct.
IU-Notify alerts have been set up to bypass IU-managed spam filters but may be caught by spam filters offered by other email providers. To ensure that alert messages reach you, be sure to add the following email address for your campus to your list of safe senders.
- IUPU Columbus -- email@example.com
- IUPUI -- firstname.lastname@example.org
- IU Bloomington -- email@example.com
- IU East -- firstname.lastname@example.org
- IU Kokomo -- email@example.com
- IU Northwest -- firstname.lastname@example.org
- IU South Bend -- email@example.com
- IU Southeast -- firstname.lastname@example.org
